7 Tips On Taking Action to Achieve Our Goals – Just How Much Do We Need To Be Doing?

We must take action in order to achieve our goals. It may surprise you however, that it’s not ALL about taking massive physical action!!

Contrary to the way most of us have been brought up to believe we need to work really hard putting as much blood, sweat and tears into our goals as we can, you will be relieved to hear that a lot of efforting will only keep your goals from coming.

On the flip side, simply sending out positive vibes from the couch is unlikely to cut it either.

The type of action we need to be taking is inspired action. Inspired action is when we act on thoughts and ideas that come to us when we are in a place of feeling good. Feeling good can be any feeling that doesn’t have us doubting or resisting our goals; such as contentment, excitement, knowing, at peace, joy, feelings of worthiness, etc.

If our beliefs and internal dialogue (mind chatter) are not a match with what we want, then we can take all the action steps we like, but our beliefs win out every time.

An example would be –  we might want more money on a conscious level, but our internal programming (beliefs) may be that we don’t deserve wealth, or that we really can’t see how money could come.

In fact if we haven’t got ourselves into a believing, expecting and allowing feeling state then we can race around as much as we like trying to make things happen, to no avail. And our subconscious mind will make sure what we believe comes true.

We need to take INSPIRED ACTION. That’s when things really begin to fall into place. The following 15 minute clip tells you how.

“You are not at the mercy of past beliefs. The sooner you begin to act upon the new ones the better. Otherwise you are not trusting them in the present. If you are poor and want to have more money, and try to maintain a belief in abundance – while still faced with the fact of present poverty – you must in your reality make some symbolic move that shows you are willing to accept a change.

As foolish as it may sounds, you should give some money away, or in whatever manner that suits you act as if you did have more money than you physically have. You must respond to your new beliefs, so that neurologically the new message gets across. You perform habitually in certain manners as a result of your beliefs.

Now if you willfully change some of these habits then you are also getting the message across. The initiative must come from you, and in the present. In a very real manner of speaking, this means changing your viewpoint, that particular perspective with which you view your past and present and imagine your future. You must look within yourself for evidences of what you want in terms of positive experience.

Examine your past with that in mind. Imagine your future from the power point of the present. In such a way at least you are not suing the past to reinforce your limitations, or projecting them in the future. It is only natural to contrast what you want with what you have, and it is very easy to become discouraged in so doing, but looking for errors in the past with not help you.

A correctly utilized 5 minute period of time can be of great benefit, however. Concentrate on the point of power being now. Feel and dwell upon the certainty that your emotional, spiritual and psychic abilities are focused through the flesh, and for 5 mins only direct all of your attention toward what you want.

Use visualization or verbal through – whatever comes most naturally to you; but for that period do not concentrate upon any lacks, just upon your desire. Use all of your energy and attention. Then forget about it. Do not check to see how well it is working. Simply make sure that in that period your intentions are clear.

Then in one way or another, according to your own individual situation, make one physical gesture or act that is in line with your belief or desire. Behave physically, then, at least once a day in a way that shows that you have faith in what you are doing. The act can be a very simple one. If you are lonely and feel unwanted, it can merely invoice your smiling at someone else. If you are poor, it can involve such a simple thing as buying an item you want that costs two cents more than the one you would usually buy – acting on the faith, even that feebly, that the two cents will somehow be given you or come into your experience; but acting as if you had more that you do.

In health terms, it involves conducting yourself once a day as though you were not sick in whatever way given you. But the belief in the present, reinforced for 5 minutes, plus such a physical action, will sometimes bring literally awesome results.

Such effects will occur however only if you cease looking into the past “for what is wrong,” and stop reinforcing your negative experience. These same principles can be used in any area of your life, and in each you are choosing from a variety of probable events.”

The old belief that the ‘the more you do, the more you are worth’, is replaced by ‘the better you feel, the more you allow’. Refreshing and inspiring to hear that the better we feel the more of what we want flows into our lives.

7 Tips On Taking Action

→ Marrying BELIEF with ACTION delivers results – combine beliefs that you deserve and can have your dream, goal or desire, married with some daily action to back your new belief up. It’s important to respond to these new beliefs by acting in a new way. That’s when things begin to shift and flow for you.

→ Take action on inspired ideas  – with the energy that comes with the idea. Acknowledge inspired ideas and act on them – ride the energy that feels good. Go with your ideas that have the most energy and excitement around them! Pursue the idea even if you don’t know where it’s going to go, or how its’ going to work out. Trust that it came from a good place and if you can think it you can do it!

→ Only go in the one direction – once you have made a decision keep moving towards your goal and don’t look back. Have faith and take positive action. Let go of doubts and fears and focus instead on the end result and how it feels to have the thing you want.

→ Making decisions – many people are scared to make decisions in case they don’t turn out to be right. If you are unclear what to do then step back and get off the subject for a while. Try to relax and the answer will come.

If you are feeling good about your goal then it’s easy to see the next logical step. The Universe is always providing us with answers, to hear them we need to be in a place of positive energy and solution focused, rather than negative and problem focused.

If you are unsure what to do, always ask yourself if this opportunity is in alignment with your goals and desires. If yes, then say yes!

→ Be a reflector of the type of life you want – act as if you already have it, or are it, or can do it. The Law of Attraction brings to you that which you put out. If you act and feel in alignment with your desires then they will come into your life.

→ Inner work – reaching goals is not about taking massive physical action. When we focus on our energy alignment we line up with Universal forces and can leverage the power that creates worlds. Things that we couldn’t begin imagine start to unfold. This is incredible as most of us have grown up believing we must take massive action “out there” if we want to succeed, when our inner action is critical.

If we are pushing too hard or feeling negative about our goals then we make things much harder than they need to be. When we aren’t lined up with the positive energy flow we can feel stuck or struggle to make any progress.

The inner work involves discovering our limiting beliefs and feelings around the things that we want. Often we aren’t even aware we have these beliefs or negative feelings as they are usually subconscious. For more info on beliefs click here.

Inner work also includes meditation (quiet time), feelings of gratitude and appreciation, affirmations, visualization with feeling, writing out your vision and developing a positive mindset.

If you ARE taking massive action towards your goals, and have feelings of competitiveness, or are trying or pushing REALLY hard to achieve your goals, you are acting from your ego, and this can actually hold you back.

When we try TOO hard, we are pushing against the flow of the Universe, we are resisting the very thing we want, and may be emanating feelings of desperation, uncertainty, fear, or lack, which all keep us vibrating AWAY from our goals.

Learning to relax, be in the moment, listen to your intuition, go with the flow, be grateful, and have faith that things are working out just as they are supposed to for you….is the necessary mindset to be in when taking action.

→ Change  your actions – If certain areas of your life aren’t as you’d like them to be, you can change your actions around them. Often your actions are a result of you thoughts and beliefs. Actions are also habitual so being consciously aware of what you are doing and why is a positive step.

Most have no doubt heard Einstein’s famous saying:

“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, and expecting a different result”

Doing something different today, will change the outcome tomorrow.
